Physical and Biological Sciences
The Division of Physical and Biological Sciences is home to Astronomy and Astrophysics, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Earth & Planetary Sciences, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Mathematics, Microbiology and Environmental Toxicology, Molecular, Cell & Developmental Biology, Ocean Sciences, Physics, and Science Communication.
Social Sciences
The Division of Social Sciences is home to Anthropology, Economics, Education, Environmental Studies, Latin American/Latino Studies, Legal Studies, Politics, Psychology and Sociology.
UC Observatories
The University of California Observatories (UCO) is a multi-campus research unit. We operate the Lick Observatory, the technical labs at UC Santa Cruz and UCLA, and we are a managing partner of the Keck Observatory in Hawaii. We are the center for the UC participation in the Thirty-Meter Telescope (TMT) project.
UC Santa Cruz Library
The University Library is home to McHenry Library, Science & Engineering Library, Special Collections and Archives, and extensive online resources that serve students and researchers on campus and off campus.
